Hello

I may have just done something foolish.
I grip-filled stainless steel splashbacks around the hob and sink areas of my new kitchen but I have just realised they're not earth-bonded.
They are, I suppose, a potential live conductor but no one else's splashbacks I have looked at (private or MFI etc) seem to be earth-bonded.
Can anyone please tell me what the situation is re Part P?

thanks

Iain

Yes, Part P says only this:

"Reasonable provision shall be made in the design and installation of electrical installations in order to protect persons operating, maintaining or altering the installation from fire or injury." ;)

As ricicle says, the Wiring Regulations do not require supplementary bonding in kitchens.

Thanks guys
that's a relief. Surface mounted earth wires would have looked pretty bad.
