Anyone looked at, or used, the Earthcrimp clamps as featured in the back pages of PE this month?
I can't see the point of the original - how long does it take whacking a BS951 round a bit of copper - seconds ? It says BS951 compliant - I must look up the standard and see how.
The retro one with a copper strap attached by a wingnut on a threaded rod seems to take just as long wrapping the strap around the pipe on a normal 951. This one is only said to be BS7671 compliant. Still need tools - a rachet crimper.
Or am I missing something? In any event its look better than those Eazyclamp plastic thingies.
