Greetings
TNCS or TNS in a domestic household, which earthing system is preffered?

A broken neutral (well, PEN conductor) on a TN-C-S system can quite easily make all of your pipwork / extraeaneous conductive parts become live.

I prefer the concept of TN-S.
Are you really in Vatican City or do you just like the flag?

I know - it is also banned from certain locations such as camp sites and marinas (and petrol stations??) owing to the dangers imposed from an open circuit PEN

And my luck was the dno installed a TN-CS a whole 5m away from the transformer pole, my job was to install some sockets for caravans
Don't know how many PMEs they managed to get onto that cable - probably none bar the initial means of earthing. Ended up with a TT system anyway.

I've had a TT with a cracking Ze before now, well, the rod was inches from the staked PME pole.

Cheaper than a proper PME conversion any day!
