is it ok to earth a cooker without using a sleeve over earth as the back of cooker is earthed anyway?

The purpose of the green/yellow sleeving is for identification purposes, do you think it should be identified?
Regulations require all cables to be adequately identified.

but is it dangerous if not done as back of cooker is earthed any way?

It is a departure from BS7671 regs - don't know what you work to?, Without seeing it, it is impossible to say if it is dangerous or not.

Whether it makes the installation dangerous or not is irrelevant - ALL bare earth conductors require a green & yellow sleeve.. You can get 10m of sleeving for a pound so it's not going to break the bank.

Here in ireland we have to sleeve all conductors. If your stuck stick a bit of green/yellow tape around the earth

Would anyone do this if they were badly stuck for sleeving
