I haven't come across any that weren't already removed yet, but was taught to hit it with a lump hammer 'till it breakes off or tie it permanently open.
I've had a few and used a hammer but it hasnn't been quick and very tricky to get any swing on them.....I suppose drilling a seam across the back of them may be the quickest way.
