Should my roofer fit eaves trays or are their other alternatives? Is it necessary to have some kind of protection?

Thanks in advance (y)

cheers pal, do they just kind of slide into place? (please excuse my ignorance) :D

The way they are designed there is a flat bit that sits on top of the fascia and from there you just nail it to the rafters every other one is good enough and overlap
them about 6"

They can be a bit of a chore, particularly with a tall fascia kick and plain tiles (with eaves course). 450mm dpc can be used in this instance and will also serve to weather the lower courses when the felt inevitably rots away.

6mm plyboard and DPC. But not the polyphene type as that will hum like a kazoo
