Ebac Fridge Freezer tripping the RCD

Your first link above in the list of three is the correct part. 1247943, £14.38 + postage.
If you look closely at the exploded photos you will see the same markings QP3 12A J1, the J1 may be irrelevant but your Ed J is probably the same reference, hence why I asked you if it had any other markings on your part.

The relay is rated 12Amps, using a lower rated will cause the relay to operate sooner so the compressor will be cutting in and out much sooner and probably never run at correct temps in fridge/freezer compartments or just burn out the relay soon after fitting. Use a higher rated relay and more than likely burn out the compressor windings rendering a useless machine or very hefty repair charges.

That's about where I'd got to! Except the round bit at the top has a different number. The "German" relay is actually a QP2 and doesnt have the round bit (thermal trip?).

The other eSpares links look like the markings have been rubbed off - which made me wonder. Also, I never know whether to trust the photos on websites. I've ordered things that are different from the pictures when they arrive... that's why I asked for advice! ;) :D

Many thanks.
