Ecotec pro 24 intermittent fault

Hi my boiler had its pcb replaced last sept and the diverter valve replaced 2 years ago. Recently and intermittently the hot water is only luke warm, however switching boiler on/off restores temp to normal. Had engineer out Saturday but he couldn't fix as water was hot while he was here. He asked to record status code when water was lukewarm, we have and it's the same code as when the water is hot S.14. My contract expires in March, and I need to get it fixed before then.
Any help greatly appreciated.
