Hi Guys

I've got about 1.5 square metres of 10" thick concrete slab to break up (not reinforced).

The hire shop guy says that the hydraulic breakers are more powerful, but more expensive, more hassle, have to get fuel etc...

Would a "Heavy duty" electric breaker be up to the job? Its a vertical road-style Bosch breaker.

Thanks

10" is a fair lump!

If the concrete is not 'trapped-in' then the Bosch fella should do it. It is sometimes best to stitch a few holes and allow large chunks to fracture across the stitching. Don't try to bite off too large a piece at once.

Worked proper job! Really quick and much less vibration than I expected.

Heavy though, the only trouble I had was getting the chisel trapped in a hole and trying to lift the breaker out.

Would recommend it to anyone.
