electric floor underheating

hi all,

i am planning to get the underfloor heating before the new carpets gets in. is it simple diy task apart from electrician part..
please let me know

You either install it yourself, or get some one else to install it

Installing parts of it and expecting some electrician or anyone else to do the rest will result in problems.

yea it is just the living room and not the whole house. so running just that instead of whole house will be cheaper as we spedn most time in there ...
considered the hot water ufh but to0 costly

Electric UFH is costly compared to running gas boiler with none essential rads turned off.

Unless your floor is insulated extremely well, you will loose a lot of heat into the floor

How big is the room and how old is the house ?

6x3 and house is build circa 80s

Be sure to specify the correct combined underlay and carpet Tog rating for these products over the UFH product that you choose or again, this can cause issues with how efficient the UFH will be.

Carpets usually need to be laid on UFH specific underlays.
