For example from a B & Q oven MI.
In the case of requiring isolation for an electric shower the Manufacturer's Instructions are NOT wrong.
Running away from a self cremating electric shower with ( hopefully ) a towel wrapped around your wet body and switching off at the CU is not without several risks to health.
And assuming the house had a single RCD protecting all circuits how would you restore power when the cremated shower was still connected to the mains.
Then - feel free to fit one - just don't say it is mandatory.
Oh - and in those cases, it would be classed as an 'emergency switch' - which also is not mandatory - not an 'isolator'
