i want to replace my electric shower but i dont know if my existing shower is 7.5kw or 8.5kw it is a galaxy g7000 can i just fit a 8.5 kw?

Your shower is available in both 7.5 & 8.5KW versions, the former will draw approx 32.5A, the latter 37A @230V so it depends on the size of the cable, the length of the run from the C.U. & the size of the fuse or circuit breaker protecting the exsisting circuit.
