electrical cable needed!

Hi, my fridge cable has been eaten by a mouse and instead of buying a new fridge can anyone advise me on what type of cable to buy and i will get it rewired in! Thankyou

What about using SY flex make things a little harder for the mouse next time

Thankyou for the replies, yes could be a good idea to get SY Flex as still not managed to get rid of the mouse, very surprised it didn't electrocute itself as it had eaten into the wires on the cable where can i get SY Flex from?

I doubt you will find it in the local sheds

You would need to connect the braid covering to earth, preferably at both ends. You should sleeve the braid inside the plug/fridge with green and yellow sleeving, mainly to stop the chance of it touching any live conductors.

I can't help wondering if this may prove awkward for you, and that regular 3 core flex is the answer.

Even if the mouse eats into the SY flex, it's still going to be b******d and will need replacing.

I was also wondering how easy SY would be to terminate inside a standard plug
