Hi Guys, First of many posts i would imagine as we have just bought a house.

The garage is in a parking area of about 8 garages, ours is on the bottom row and in the middle. Its about 10 metres away as the crow flys.

Is it possible to get electricity installed and if so what would be the best bet.

The garages directly opposite my house have electricity but the bottom row do not.

Any ideas?

Is the garage directly connected to your land/property? If it is then some steel wire armoured (SWA) cable should do the job from your house to a small consumer unit in the garage. If you're not connected, you'll be running the cable across public land so may be a problem.

The garage is on what is technically private property as the council wont listen when i mention flooding in that block.

But it would involve going over an open driveway for the garages and into mine. If the end garage and the rest of them were to get power then it would be possible but where would it come from and how would it be paid.

How do they get & pay for their power? Try to find that out and see if the same/similar approach can be used

Looks like you would need a contractor who specialises in trenching out and installing ductwork.
The reinstatement would have to be done to the NRSWA.

Yeah its looking very much impossible other than spending a small fortune and since we only got £10 profit from selling dont think i can justify to the mrs for spending that amount of money on power to the garage.

Haha i mentioned that to the wife which she wasnt happy about.

Spose if we got caught could just deny the whole thing. It was like that when we bought it lol.

Thanks for all your help.

I was just alerted to why you would need my exact location????

Have you checked to see if ANY of the bottom garages have power; seems slightly odd that only the top row have.
