Just to add, it's now all done. The on-site electrician would have run a spur from the tumble drier, as I'm not using that - he mentioned he would add in a 3 amp fuse.

Either way, I've had a 50amp circuit put in by my electrician and got a second CU in the garage! Now I have two ring mains, and a lighting circuit. And all with enough power to get an electric car in the future. I'm rather happy now... especially with my new LED strip lights!
