Hello
I smelt burning from a wall light last night so switched it off and removed the fuse that links to it. I called my electrician today but he is away and I'm off on holiday myself tomorrow but have a cat and someone will be coming to my house to feed it so I need the lights switched back on. I have removed the light and the wires are badly burnt. They are now dangling from the wall. Before I get the electrician in to fix the problem what should I do with the dangling wires? Should I wrap insulating tape around them for the next week? Should I place them into a terminal block temporarily. Any advice would be welcome.
