I am replacing a shower light and fan with a new one that has a transformer.
The new fan works but when I came to fit the transformer the old wiring to the light has three wires L,N, and E the transformer only needs the L and N what do I do with the earth ? Tried phoning marley helpline but the chap said he wasnt an electrician and thought you put a terminal on it and wrapped it in insulating tape.

Thanks I'm hoping to finish this before hubby comes home and finds wires dangling from the ceiling!

yes i would put a block on it and wrap assuming there is no earth screw point avalable would also fold back out the way

If the fitting has no earth terminal, then just put a plastic covered terminal block on the end, like a piece of one of these:

Don't wrap anything in tape - that just makes a nasty mess.
