Electro boiler not staying on

Hi guys,

I have an electric boiler, I can't seem to get it to stay on. I turn it all on and set the thermostat and sometimes it will try to start and you can hear it working but then it'll cut off within a couple of seconds.

The thermostat is not always showing as working, there is a light to show both if it's below the heat and if it's reached. One light should always be showing. However they will not always show although not strictly related to the controller flickering on and off.

I've tried bleeding the system with no change. The controller is also flickering on and off as the video shows.

Any ideas that I could try for myself before calling someone in?

Does either the programmer or the thermostat need batteries. If not then check the connections in the isolator in case you have a loose wire on the cable supplying the boiler as a first step. But isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before you start.
