emergency light?

not as far as I'm aware.. emergency kits are for fluorescent lights..

the link I gave you was to the 2D fitting version..
you're just trying to save £25 by getting the regular bulb type..

ah I see.. why only 260mm diameter?
does it have to be surface?
they do recessed ones that are smaller..

its for a few emergency lights in a pub, got to be surface mounted fittings what the landlord wants and there are joists that are 270mm apart running through the pub. So the lights need to fit in between them. think the 2D option is going to be best, how much room do the conversion kits take up in these type of fittings

Sorry to partially hijack this, but is it permissible for a non-electrician such as myself to install non-maintained lights within hall landing areas under the guise of "extending lighting circuits" (the intention would be to spur off from nearby ceiling roses fed by a radial circuit)? Or should it be left to electricians or BCO involvement etc etc etc.

that's the hole size BAS, mine was 200 hole size, but with the lip came to 224.. yours would be somewhere about 214..

What about LED emergengy lights?

They are surprisingly bright, and the fittings are only little

links?
it's been a while since I was out on the road and things have moved on w
since I was last an installing sparky rather than a production sparky..

I've got a couple of these installed at home. The 3W version is 85 lux. A normal 8W fluorescent bulkhead is only 100 lux.
