I am thinking off having an blowdown heater installed in our en-suite bathroom. I think the heater will be installed in a zone 2 area.
Before I contact an electricion for a quote I would like to know where the isolator switch must be installed ,the reason being that I do not want any switches or pull cords on show in the bedroom.
I would like the switch to be installed in the en-suite would this be OK ?

Why can't you buy a Brushed Stainless Steel DP switched 13amp fuse-connection unit, and mount it on the wall outside the en-suite? The stainless steel accessories look attractive, and assuming the heater is 3kW or less (as is normally the case in domestic settings), the S-FCU will do the job nicely.

When I was fitting council bathrooms we used to install the SFCU for the downflow heater next to the fan isolator above the bathroom door in the hallway.
