English Cooking

I have over the years noticed that our cilinary herritage is slipping away. Now Britains national and favorite dish is a curry? I see more European dishes and ingredients appearing over the old traditional ingredients. We used to be fed on vegatables and home cooking such as a homemade meat pie.

We also used to make our own mustard, fresh, as required, from mustard powder, rather than using jars or tubes of flabby ready-made stuff.

Rabbit stews etc. Is it the fact that people have less time to cook traditional recipes or is it that our tastes have altered?

No - some people have just got lazy.

I get the tubes of colemans as it is easier and more convenient than a jar.

Oh.

As for mustard, if you prefer English, but don't like it as peppy as Colman's, try Aldi's own brand.
