You are conflating three separate ages.

So is consensual sex with a 17 or 18 year old legal or not?

What has that got to do with it, it's irrelevant to being a child or not.
I agree there are 3 separate ages, but I'm not conflating them. Epstein's is sex case, and the law defines an age of consent. Which incidentally varies between countries and historical periods. I believe in Ireland until fairly recently it was 14 for girls and 18 for boys.
I'm not defending Epstein, I'm just objecting to the use of paedophile. In my opinion fiddling with sexually immature children is worse than consensual sex with someone sexually mature but below the age of consent. You may not agree.
If some on here define child as anybody below 18, or 16, or whatever, we'll have to agree to differ.
The Epstein case is about sex with underage girls, is it not?

Is that your opinion or a legal definition? If the latter, in which jurisdictions? If you or somebody can show where the law (in UK for a start) says this, I'll accept it. But your assertion won't do.

Yes, if it's consensual.
It is in Scotland, but under 18 is still a child.
Is that really what the (sicko) meant! ? Surely not?
