Estate car - which one should I go for?

Hi there

I need to buy a second hand diesel estate car for my new business. As I'm starting off, I don't really want to spend more than £2,500 (3K tops). I've been looking at Ford Focus, Ford Escort and Vauxhall Astra's - just about do-able if around 6 years old and high mileage.

Are these good choices do you think? I need something to carry all my kit, but will only be making local journeys. I'm not worried about style!

I've got a vectra estate i'd recommend them to anyone only niggly probs so far. 2001 model good body work no engine probs 1.8 125 bhp goes like the clappers .

or better still ( IMHO )....Skoda Octavia......same engine and components, better equipped and much much cheaper

Thanks for the comments, but I've gone for a ford focus - i got it for a good price so even if it only does me for a few years, I'll be happy
