Hi

I'm looking to get one of the above for DIY. Any experiences using them, good or bad?

Or any other recommnedations? Don't think I can justify a Fein for how much use it will get.

Cheers

completly different tools with a bit off overlap

bosch will cut wood and metal tight to any surface
it will cut metal and plastic pipes
it will remove tiles with its power scraper
it will sand
and many many more tasks

Thanks, I need a tool for cutting floorboards and grout from tiles which have already been laid.

SOunds like the Bosch is more flexible.

Cheers

By the looks of things in the advert, the exact saw is good for one thing only ... laminate flooring

Don't forget that there are several other manufacturers making something similar to the pmf 180 now, including a few cordless versions

If you want cordless I can't recommend the Bosch GOP highly enough, more aimed at trade but very good

if you do go for the 10.8v bosch dont make the same mistake as i did lol :D

blades are so expensive so what ever you do whether mains or battery get the complete set with blades and pads because iff you buy them seperatley your talking around £40 more than the combined price :D :D

I think I'll go for the PMF, I'll probably forget to charge the GOP!

See what you mean about the blades, cost an arm and a leg
