excessive waste of salt in Candy dishwasher

after two-three years of proper functioning, my Candy dishwasher suddenly started to waste salt.
LED at the front panel indicates low level of salt all the time.
when I add a full box of Calgon (cca 0.5kg) it all goes down the drain during next dish washing.

any idea anyone?
