Extend power cable

I need to extend cables for a socket.

So many options but what's best here and within regs, wago or splice?

Please explain in more detail what you are trying to do. "Extend cables" can mean so many different things.
Perhaps
Are you moving a socket and the cables wont reach the new location
or
Are you adding a socket to an existing circuit, and need to add cables from an existing socket
or
join cables to an existing circuit by 'splicing' into a cable run

New socket and wires aren't long enough on a couple with the lovely LAP plug I've bought.

What's the point of that? Clearly, the OP means a socket outlet.
