We're putting in a new kitchen, and we want to move the cooker. The current cooker switch (with single socket) is about 1m diagonally away from the connection plate box, that has the ignition for the hob and the cooker wired currently wired into.

I want to move the cooker (Beko QBSE223SX, 16A 2.4kW unit). However the cable would be too short (to the connection plate), so I am wondering what my options are? The cable would need to be an extra 1.5m - 2m.

Is a 30A junction box and 1.5 -2m of suitable cable the answer ,or is there a more complex solution?
