Extending door bell to garden office

Hi,

I'm in the process of building a garden office. As I'll be working from there during the day I'd like to extend the door bell into there wirelessly.

Currently I have a Friedland door bell transformer (https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/VE753.html), conventional door bell switch and bell ringer (https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/VE792.html).

Is it possible to add on something like this (https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/DCP917S.html) and then use a compatible wireless door chime so when the door bell is pressed, the wired bell rings in the house and also the wireless chime in the office?

have you thought about maybe switching to a wifi doorbell? you can place receivers all over the home but also receive phone alerts

If you haven't yet arranged the power cabling to the garden office then consider installing a second duct for cables for alarms, phones, data etc etc and then extend the door bell circuit to the garden office through that duct.

and works well in the house as use it in loft, but does not quite work properly in garden or office.

Simply it is two far (for me) for two reasons -
1) too many walls between doorbell at front of house and garden and office being insulated with celotex and its slight fariday cage.
2) everyone has started to knock as do not want to catch Covid off the door bell.

Now use an old digital intercom (ie DECT baby alarm) at back of house in a room nearest garden that takes all sound from house into garden / office:

In conclusion, it does work and a good solution but you need to test range.

Depending on range, I have a cheap Amazon plug in receiver and bell push
Dirt cheap but if you have a massive garden then no go
