Whoever plumbed our kitchen waste into the drain left the white 40mm pipe outside of the plastic osma grate that covers the drain.

I thought it would be a simple job of adding a longer piece of pipe or adding an extension and fitting through the grate. Then i realized the pipes are cemented together!!!

Can anyone give me a quick and simple solution to add a couple of inches in length on the end of the pipe

Thanks

Cut back the existing pipe, add a solvent weld coupling and longer piece of pipe to reach through the grate. Make an angled cut to the end to help water exit.
