Exterior grade wax - does it exist?

Apologies similar question to my last, but don't need to get tied up on the wood type...

Does exterior grade wax exist? will any wax do for outdoor use? if a tin of wax doesn't say "inernal" or "external" can it be used for either?

Have you heard of a product called Patina?

Well it behaves quite like wax in that it penetrates the surface and doesn't form a layer of lacquer. It comes in a gel form and I must admit the tests we've done on it are very impressive. it's not cheap however, it does say on the tin that it's suitable for application internally and externally. Apply with a cloth leave a few minutes and buff off. Only two coats required...sounds too good to be true eh?
