I need to fit a sub-pump into a drainage pit I have dug at the end of my drive (not the best option but a long story. In a nutshell .. no alternative!).
At the moment the cable simply comes up out of the inspection chamber and underneath the garage door, where it is simply plugged in via an rcd.

I'm looking for a long term (and aesthetic and safer) solution. What would you suggest? Presumeably I need to cut a whole through the concrete garage floor and fit some armoured conduit?

I also need to be able to remove the pump on occassion for servicing, etc. so any solution would need to consider this.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

no expert but would a 12v pump and transformer in the garage not be better!!!! safer!!

I expect the pump's safe enough. They are afterall designed to be submerged in water. And besides, I've already bought the pump!!

1) its a sump pump

2) conduit is not armoured. its the conduit that is the protection.

but that asside, conduit will be of little use since you will have to take the plug off to fit it.

why not lay the cable in a "rain drain / gutter thing" or even better put in a 4 inch pipe.

that way cable can come out with plug still on.

its cheaper than doing what you should do. conduit to water proof jb
