Garage electrics

Thanks all, lots of good ideas coming out here.....

One more question, I have a number of metal patress boxes spare, I know these are supposed to be used inside walls, but is it illegal to have these fitted on top of walls or is it just bad practice?

Not sure I've got enough plastic patress boxes, will just get more as they're not too expensive anyway, but just wanted to know what the law says about this?

Arguably illegal - they have too many holes in them.

Stop ****ing about and use this sort of thing....
