Hi. I need to turn the water off to my property. outside all of the properties on the street is a small manhole cover with Saunders Water written on it which I assume is the external mains stop tap.

When I prize this cover off there is what I would expect - a 7 or 8 inch diameter pipe going down but it is almost full with water

Is the external stop tap under all that water and do i just need an external stop tap key from screwf*x to turn it on and off?

If I just bail out the water its under there?

The property is only about 15 years old.

Thanks

you got it.

you'll need to know what sort of stopcock key you need first

Thanks seco.

I couldn't really see under all the water but it looked almost like there was something reflective down there? Do the keys ever have covers on or anything like that?

Thanks once again. :)

once you open the lid and have you right key should drop straight on.

try looking at one of the others and you may see what you need.

i would opt for it being square type.
