Extra hob stopped working

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help ?
I have an extractor above electric hob that has stooped working,
both the lights and fan motors have stopped. The lights went with a pop ?
I have no literature regarding who makes the extractor ?
The extractor was fitted approx 15 years ago ?
Any thoughts where I can find out model number etc for the extractor ?
Any thoughts on what the problem may be ?
All help gratefully accepted.

You should have a means of isolating the extractor from the supply, usually by means of an FCU. It is possible the fuse has blown in the FCU when the lamps failed.

Have you any idea where I may find the FCU and what does it look like?

It will look something like this http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CB4827.html it should be fairly close to the extractor(follow the cable from it). It could also be plugged into a normal 13A switched socket.
