Extra visas for Truckers and Poultry workers

Straight off the Calais-Kent dinghy and into HGV school. We could even use Fromage to taxi them to the nearest licensing centre.

They forced through a ruinous, disasterous Brexit in the midst of a pandemic that ensured EU HGV drivers were no longer welcome in UK, and they have gone home in their droves while also making life for drivers and haulage firms much more difficult at the same time.

Governments are supposed to forsee problems and solve them. Our 'government' is totally clueless and only knows how to keep their donors happy while creating total chaos for everyone else.

This Government to their credit via their pliant media give their supporters the soundbites to defend their risible behaviour - case in point - "captaint hindsight" - even when the issues were pointed out beforehand.

Even in the EU the UK had some of he weakest worker rights, now that we are outside they will drop to US levels and the Tory bots on here will champion them as the knife is stuck in the backs of their kids.

Workers were mistreated whilst we were in the EU, but there was a floor beyound which the UK couldn't drop below, now its a charge to the bottom. Think of the future generation, heck they can't even protest now. Hard faught freedoms are given up for ideology.

nah the the French would make sure that there are no migrants with HGV driving experience getting on the dinghy’s prior to towing them across to UK waters

And now we're out of the EU wages are going up in the UK, funny that.

With the 5,000 visas for drivers I did toy with the idea that Johnson knew he had to appear to be doing something, but had to severely limit it to appease the rabid hard Brexers. Then he may quietly increase the limit and extend it beyond Xmas.

Nah, that would credit him with actually giving a damn. :rolleyes: (n)
