Well since you'll only have 1 conductor it'll be pretty tricky getting it into 2 separate terminals Just use a short piece of similar cable to join the 2 terminals together.

just to clarify now in the light fitting, will i put the y/g wire to y/g, blue with the black wire and brown with red?

Forgive me for being rude, but you seem so far from competent to do this job it is quite scary.

I really honestly think you need to consider employing the services of a qualifeid, competent electrician to do this job for you.
