I find a ball of denso tape does a good job of bunging the cold feed in the f&e tank.

fear, bad practice, no idea.

ive failed to bung a 3 port maybe once or twice and even then its slow enough to jump it.


of course thats when you find that the thread doesnt match

I too have changed several 3 ports by bunging the system. Up till now never had any problems or leakages.
