Facebook or Spam?

I have received a couple of emails saying "Check out my photos on Facebook"

They are both from someone I know, very strangely they both say "Other people you may know on Facebook:" and show names of photos I actually do know. The two emails are sent to different addresses of mine, and show different people whom I know.

How does Facebook know I know them?

Maybe they are people with mutual friends, do you have a facebook account?

no, and they do not know the person originating the mails, they are in two different countries from her

in that case don't even open them they are most likely viruses

if your friends post any pictures they will appear on your wall as xxxxx posted etc.
