Ceiling fan with light under, can they be wired so fan can be controlled by wall switch separately,and how.
 
Some have pull cord switched fan.

Without knowing the model you have it's difficult to say, theorectically you could split the light and fan and provide a secondary wall switch to turn fan on independently of the light.

Whats wrong with using the pull cord? :o
 
IF the unit has seperate switchwires for the fan & light, then yes, but you would need to rewire the switch drop.
 
with regards to fans, wire one leg to the live the other to the neutral.

Use a 2-gang dimmer :wink: That would be cool. But dont think many dimmers are rated for motor loads. I think one rated for wire-wound Tx's would do?
