FAST TRACK ELECTRICS AND GAS COURSES

I have heard their is a fast track course gas engineers can take to do landlord electrical inspections and we dont need part p,

all we need is 16th edition and inspection & testing and their is now a special course gas engineers can go on to get this qualifacation which deals with domestic only and cuts out all the rest of the ***** you dont need, a well known company send their chaps on it (gas-elec)

as anyone any more info on this .

And that well known company came very close to having a couple of dead tenants.

The engineers get so little money after the franchise fees are paid that corners are cut big time.

In that particluar rented property the fire was ID (spilling on a letterbox opening), the water heater in the bathroom had no flue seals fitted and the cooker had numerous faults. This had all been passed as safe on the LGSR.

This property was not untypical of their LGSR's and despite complaints to corgi and a Riddor (from memory) they continue to operate.

Non-disclosure contract forbits further whistleblowing. (and no I didn't work for them)
