I did change the bulb for one i knew to be working before i touched any of the electrics and it was operated by a single switch and not a dimmer, thanks all for your advice, will get someone in to check it out. First time on this site and i have to say it is excellent, especially when you have access to everyones wealth of knowledge.Thanks again.
