I'm planning the rewiring of my kitchen. For my dishwasher I will have a switched FCU connected to the ring main (above the work top) with an unswitched single socket connected to the FCU on a spur (behind the appliance about a foot off the floor)

I know that when connecting the FCU on a ring main the two supply cables should be connected to the same terminals (marked ' supply' on the FCU) - My questions is - Should the cable going to the unswitched socket be connected to the 'load' terminals on the FCU?

Thanks

no, "load" is the side for the load in your case a dishwasher
