Fiat 500x misfire

What that it's a fiat ornament Halfords
I agree with both
But not gonna fix my issue

Swapping 2 injectors round would be my next step in your situation as I'm guessing you don't have a diagnostic tool that can show live data

Apparently that has been done....if compression comes back ok I'd be looking at the loom now, but Halfords would be my last choice.

Diagnosed at Halfords garage
Been in 3 times replaced all plugs and coils
Today got error in cylinder 4 and manifold code
Noone seems to know where you go next
Load of mechanics just scratching their heads. Clueless
They've charged you for diagnosing and repairing, but not fixed it?

What have they said about that?

How long have you had the car? Do you have, or know, much history of the car

Approx mileage?

Halfords repaired all plugs and coils ( so they say)
Went back and was told no manager was there and they were too busy to look at it.
They could not provide me with diagnostic results or tell me what cylinders they replaced the coils and plugs on the last visit.
The RAC said one plug was very dirty this could be that not changed or something is making it clogged up so quickly
To add I got all 4 plugs changed in October and in January when the other two coils went they said a spark plug has blown and needed another
After 2 months????? What could make this happen of it was new

An unwritten rule is to replace all four coils as a bunch (Beru is a good make) and plugs too.
A fouled plug isn't firing, could be an injector (look for around 16 ohms on each), loom problems or compression .
Halfords aren't the people to sort this!

Halfords, is just about OK for battery, tyre, bulb, and brake pads swaps, but absolutely useless for anything at all complex. They rely heavily on their 'mechanics' upselling to customers, who go in for a cheap fix, or a free MOT.

To be honest I have no idea what that means. Not car savvy so I am struggling not to get ripped off with repairs

It's not easy if you're not a car person to know if a garage is good or bad. Best idea is to ask friends, colleagues, neighbours, etc if they know anyone who's good. Try on the Fiat 500 forum - they may have an idea what the fault is or point you in the direction of an independent Fiat specialist in your area.

Another idea is to try a garage from the Good Garage Scheme in your area. Not perfect, but better than guesswork.

And as already said, forget places like Halfords

I agree it went and Halfords was nearest garage
It seemed simple at first just a few plugs but now just getting more complicated

Do a bit of research, find someone that is recommended by a credible source, then bite the bullet and hand your car over and let them get on with it. Otherwise it will drag on. Good luck!
