Fiat 500x misfire

Yes that's my next step
I'll provide them with the latest diagnostic and a history and hope they can sort
Should of married a mechanic

Halfords repaired all plugs and coils ( so they say)
Went back and was told no manager was there and they were too busy to look at it.
They could not provide me with diagnostic results or tell me what cylinders they replaced the coils and plugs on the last visit.
The RAC said one plug was very dirty this could be that not changed or something is making it clogged up so quickly
To add I got all 4 plugs changed in October and in January when the other two coils went they said a spark plug has blown and needed another
After 2 months????? What could make this happen of it was new
Get in touch with the head office then.

Dont give a garage a diagnosis from somebody else, ask them to fix it, and then complain you still have an issue.

Give the problem to 1 garage, whoever you choose, let them diagnose it and repair it.

Too many cooks and all that

The codes have been wiped so will they be able to see before they pop up again
Sometimes can be a week or so

If there's an issue there will be codes.

Most garages will be able to read historic codes

But just going garage to garage with somebody else's diagnosis will never get the issue fixed

So I have been told the spark plugs looked like they not been changed
My question is why would it run for weeks of needed new plugs and they hadn't changed them?
Also could they have been changed but something is making them fail ?

Have you been charged for new plugs by anybody ?

These are ones they have just removed that they said wee not changed
I was told they were changed in January

Yes so weirdly I supposedly had then replaced in November
Car misfired again in Feb and they said I needed another spark plug. I questioned this as I already had " 4 replaced" and they said it's gone again.
And 1 looks newer in the pics!
I'm wondering did I have them replaced or just cleaned? ( If that's possible)
Or were they and the car is making them fail ?

I bet they only replaced one spark plug and one lead.
Halfords for you.
Anyway, no spark plug or lead should last 2 months, so they should've replaced under warranty the second time in February.

Plug shows age old sign of leakage.......the brown stain, common after long use.
The threads are oilier than I would have expected too.
Gawd knows what's been going on here!
John :)
