Hi gents and ladies

Any help with a problem appreciated.

My 1991 1.0 petrol Panda has been very difficult to start since temperature started dropping. There have been no mods'/repairs before this so suspect either accumulation of wear or a typical fault.

local garage said his electronic fault-check showed a faulty ignition part which he changed for pnds 300 with no improvement ( haven't paid for that yet )

Do any of you nice people know if there are typical faults/weak-points that become noticeable on old Pandas on cold mornings ?

Thanks a lot in advance

I can only generalise here but any vehicle of this age would benefit from new plugs / plug leads / distributor cap / rotor arm just for a start.....if your engine is a F.I.R.E type then it will have a carburettor so make sure the choke is working - if its the i.e type then its fuel injection and therefore should have a cold start sensor somewhere. None of these vehicles have a diagnostic port though, so it will be a bit of trial and error.
John :) PS no disrespect but I'm surprised that wee Panda is still with us...!
