Filling gap between tile and wood

Hi

We had bathroom fitted about 20 years ago. There is a wooden ledge surrounding the sink and covering top of toilet. The sealant has now gone from the gap between the wood and the tiles that sit above. Would you recommend using caulk filler or silicone for this?
