I am trying to find a replacement for the fixed head on my shower.

The old head holds the thread, and the pipe has the "bolt" you screw onto the head to hold it in place. I've only found the opposite at B&Q, where the "bolt" or male attachment is on the head.

What would I be looking for in a replacement head for searching online.

Thanks.

Check that "bolt" on the pipe. It could be what is called a nipple that has two male ends with one end screwed into a socket.
The adapter some-one showed is only for converting a large thread down to a small thread
The "barrel" some-one posted will work if the male thread you have is fixed.

Here is one example of what you may be looking for a shower head with 1/2" BSP Female iron connection - Search for a FI shower head (short for female iron showerhead)
