Having contructed a bed frame with planned spruce (B & Q's best!), I am wondering what to finish the bare pine with. Something quick and affordable would be nice, not too worried about the colour. Recommendations?

Could I just sand it? Does it need sealing? Have some lovely but expensive Osmo oil left from another project, but don't want to waste it on this unnecessarily (have another project in mind using oak). What would you use on bare pine?

No wrong answer really, lot of it is down to the charachter of the finish.

Varnish is probably the cheapest and most robust method.
