This was quite a few years ago and things no doubt have changed, as i stated before this was before things changed and you were allowed to install fire alarms without holding alarm installation certification.

How well do they work?
I often see advice against wireless burglar alarm systems, and I'm less than impressed with what has happened to my wireless CH control....

If it was to protect the lives of my family I certainly would not be considering using wireless.
Too likely to be affected by interference to me.
He writes - on this monitor, while on the other he is designing a wireless break glass/call point board! ROFLMAO...

i only know the fun side of wireless fire alarms.
Builders doing renovation on a well known train station, no cables to a call point, must be an old one, ................hour or so later everyone let back onto station, station re opened.
watching them being tested, radio sounders stop one after the other, so the one nearest you has stopped, but one other end of building still going for a few more seconds
aparently fire alarm engineers don't like them that much either

Wires it is, then...
Mind you - only have one in the house right now, so anything's an improvement. But I do check it regularly, both by pressing the test button and by frying chicken breasts on a hot griddle with chilli-infused oil....
