hi there,i have a problem with my oil burner.iam not getting a spark or
any oil from the burner on start up,but the air motor is running.it looks like the pcb board is not getting power???? any ideas????New control board and pe/cell makes no difference.

Could be the coil, drive coupling or pump. Or you could have run out of oil.

i have oil,i have been back to the supplier of the control box and he has agreed to replace.Do you need the coil to opperate to get a spark from the electrodes????I DIDNT THINK YOU DID.
 
If the coil or photo resistor are faulty, all you get is a pre purge.
 
ok thankyou,i had put in a new pe cell with the controller,iam putting in
the controller this evening,i will let you know how i get on.thanks for all your help.
 
JUST WANT TO THANKYOU FOR YOUR HELP.IAM SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO GET BACK TO YOU.I REPLACED THE IN LINE FILTER WHICH
HAD BEEN DAMAGED AND WAS INSTALLED THE WRONG WAY ROUND.
AND AFTER PUTTING THE NEW CONTROLLER ON EVERY THING WORKED JUST FINE.I HAVE LEFT THE PRICE OF A FEW PINTS OF THE BLACK STUFF
DOWN MY LOCAL IF EVER YOUR PASSING.AGAIN MANY THANKS.
